2024 Jinju Cultural Heritage Night Walk returns for third year
Jinju City, in collaboration with the Jinju Culture and Tourism Foundation, is set to host the ‘2024 Jinju Cultural Heritage Night Walk’ for the third consecutive year.
The event will take place from today through the 17th at Jinjuseong Fortress, with the opening ceremony scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Jinjuseong Jungyeong special stage.
This year’s Night Walk continues the tradition of celebrating Jinju’s rich cultural history, following the themes of “Swaemi-rok” in 2022 and “Seonmu Gongsin Gyo-seo” in 2023.
The 2024 event is themed “Jinju Seongdo,” promising to offer an even more immersive experience for visitors.
A major highlight of this year’s event is its integration with the ‘National Heritage Media Art,’ a National Heritage Administration contest project centered around the theme “Onsemiro Jinju Castle Map.”
This collaboration is expected to enhance the experience, providing a variety of nighttime attractions that showcase the beauty and historical significance of Jinju Castle.
The ‘2024 National Heritage Media Art Jinju Castle’ has already proven to be a hit, drawing over 80,000 visitors in just 10 days since its opening on August 2, despite the scorching summer heat.
The upcoming Jinju Cultural Heritage Night Walk promises to build on this success, offering an even richer program for those exploring the castle under the summer night sky.
The core theme of this year’s Night Walk, titled “8 Nights,” offers a diverse range of activities:
