Know the Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha ceremony

Coimbatore: Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru celebrated their union on December 1, 2025, through the sacred Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha ceremony at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore. Rooted in yogic tradition, the ritual is designed to create a deep elemental bond between the couple.

The duo, both respected figures in the entertainment industry, chose a low-key wedding attended only by close family and friends. The ceremony was held in the presence of Linga Bhairavi Devi on Monday morning, underscoring their intention to remain aligned with spiritual and traditional practices.

Linga Bhairavi wedding rituals are open to both couples entering marriage for the first time and already married couples. They may also be booked for special occasions such as wedding anniversaries or milestone celebrations like the husband’s 60th or 80th birthday, traditions widely observed in South Indian culture.

Linga Bhairavi, the fierce and compassionate manifestation of the Divine Feminine, consecrated by Sadhguru through prana pratishtha at the Isha Yoga Centre, served as the powerful venue for the ceremony. The eight-foot energy form, representing the creative force of the universe, is believed to support devotees at every stage of life, from birth to transcendence, by stabilising body, mind and energy.

Samantha later shared glimpses of the ceremony on social media, prompting fans to shower the couple with blessings. Many described the wedding as serene, soulful and beautiful. The Isha Foundation also extended heartfelt congratulations to Samantha and Raj, wishing them a married life filled with Devi’s grace, joy and exuberance.
